Why do legit E-Bay sellers use multiple selling accounts?

One account here, one on ebay. I don't have much of a reason to use two accounts for anything. The only time I've wished for another account is when I'm bidding on stuff to give to my girlfriend; I always wonder whether she watches what I buy.

I have two accounts and have perfectly logical reasons for doing so.

 

1) My first account is for buying and also for selling other stuff such as electronics, optics and collectable stuff. I also use this account for buying comics and pulps.

This way I attain good "buyer" feedback but I also get a rep for being and good seller in all around "stuff".

 

2) My second account is solely for selling comics and collectables. This way I get selling feedback and become known as a seller on my nowidriveachevy account.

2. I really don't remember why I have 2. I opened up a 2nd account at one point for some reason but don't remember why. I use one exclusively for selling, and buy under both accounts.
