I was... I collected an entire set of V1 books... took forever to read; most of it was enjoyable (especially Shadowman!), but I got over it. Pre-Unity is still really interesting to me, but I no longer have a need to own every freaking issue.

 

I was excited about this, but that X-O cover looks just awful. Really stinks that they couldn't get the Solar license. Much less worried about Turok and Magnus, but Solar was integral to the VU...

I'm highly interested right now, but I have to agree that cover is very weak. The tweaks to the X-O armor are not that great either. It looks very flat.

 

At the first sign this is going to be just another company releasing tons of variants, my interest will drop to 0.

 

Please, please just concentrate on putting out good books with good stories. Don't offer variants.

No interest...tried a couple of the DH relaunched and that bombed almost instantly. I hope it works out but history repeats itself often and that means about 3 years till the market bottoms out again (kidding)

On the other hand, this time the market is already flooded with worthless variants and scantily-clad soft porn masquerading as comics. Perhaps both will be going OUT of fashion (overdue) when Valiant returns with a story-telling continuity-based focus.

Assuming new Valiant is not going to just perpetuate these trends. My fingers are crossed that this will not be the case or I'll be out before their first book(s) ship.

I've got my fingers crossed too. From what I've heard from the folks involved though, I'm pretty optimistic about what they'll be able to put out.
