Only my second post, so I'm not sure if my scans are big enough. (Any input would be great, as far as uploading the best scan for everyone.)

 

Going through the Overstreet Grading Guide, I was thinking of assigning an 8.0 VF to this one. Does anyone think it would be possible to upgrade to an 8.5 VF+?

 

Also, I have attached a scan that zooms in on what looks like a color smudge (?) under Angel's wing.

Thanks everyone. What do you think the book is missing to keep it from an 8.5? On a related question, What does the loss of ink in the "R" of MARVEL do to the book's grade?

I just inspected it closely, and it looks like either a color fleck or maybe some discoloration. I thought at first it was a tear or chip, but the cover doesn't actually have a tear there.

If that's a crease on the top right corner of the cover, id say a 7 - 7.5, if not, maybe an 8.

Thanks everyone! What looks like a crease at the top right FC is actually color/dirt that looks like it was rubbed into the cover. Similar to the zoomed in scan i have posted of the one below Angel's wing.

Not sure it would get 8.5, but if that crease on the right front corner isn't color breaking pressing could give it a boost.

higgsboson- There is a slight, non-color breaking crease there. What looks like a crease, to me, above the slight non-color breaking one is either a sun shadow, or dirt. Here is a zoomed-in perspective of it.
