Foxing and pressing

No since it is basically a mold so it would need an environment that is fairly steady moisture wise as well as a porous/fibrous surface to survive more then a few hours.

 

I worked in mold remediation years back and had to take a course on molds and fungus and that is what I'm basing my answer on
