Foxing and pressing

Okay, here's a bizarre one that may show I may be overthinking a bit...

 

If you press a book with foxing on the cover, do the spores spread onto the press and get on the next books to be pressed?

 

Feel free to tell me to stop being obsessive.

No since it is basically a mold so it would need an environment that is fairly steady moisture wise as well as a porous/fibrous surface to survive more then a few hours.

 

I worked in mold remediation years back and had to take a course on molds and fungus and that is what I'm basing my answer on
