Amazing Fantasy 15 CGC Question

26 posts in this topic

Hello Folks,

I am usually not much in this section, since I changed my main focus from books to original art (many years ago).

However, I have a ton of books, including a 3.5 Amazing Fantasy 15.

Like I said, I got this book years ago, bought it of ebay.

The book was already graded.

Recently someone mentioned that information about each particular CGC graded book can be viewed online, and I guess after all those years and with the prices going up, I just want to make sure that all is OK with the book I have.

I have no suspicions really, I guess I just want to make sure it is all legit and good. What do you guys think and how should I proceed?

Thanks,

Andy

Depends on what sort of information you're after...

The "verify CGC registration" option is available on the Colletors' Society website and will list some info like date graded, creator credits, etc. but not much else.

If you want a description of the specific defects your book has, then you need to call the 1-800 number for CGC and ask for the graders' notes. Those are only available over the phone.

That is incorrect. The only thing you can view online thru CGC is the census. For additional info about the book, you have to call them for graders notes.

Is your book in a "blue label" slab? If so, you're good. (thumbs u

why would there be a difference between blue and newer slab?

or do you mean blue vs. violet meaning restored, etc.

Yeah, I meant is it "blue", "purple", "green".

You say you've got a blue. I say your book is fine.
