So, I made a website.

In the first paragraph under WHERE TO BUY you repeated "antique and toy shows". Not sure if you meant "shows" for one and "shops" for the other.

FLEA MARKETS /ANTIQUE SHOWS

Flea markets, swap meets, antique and toy shows, and antique and toy shows are some places that shouldn't be overlooked when searching for great deals on comic books.

Great website. (thumbs u

May I suggest that you add links to reputable back issue dealers? For those who want to collect Gold/Silver/Bronze age books.

Do you have any suggestions for me outside of the few that I know?

The purpose of this site is for informational purposes for those who are looking to getting into the market adding to their own knowledge. I know that is intermediate to those on the board here, but people need to start somewhere.

Let me know what you think.

With your How To Grade section

I would try to add video to go along with the descriptions that you give. An example is when you say 9.8 NEAR MINT/MINT or 9.6 NEAR MINT+ (NM+): it be cool to show the newbie comic book collector a video example the differences in grades.

I liked your website and will put it in my bookmarks. (thumbs u

Very nice site...wish this kind of information was around when I was collecting...but then there

were no "back-issues", comic bags or boxes!

Good luck!

Very nice looking site. Well done you seem to be off to a great start.

For the Where to Buy section, have you considered focusing more on online buying? You seem to be targeting novice collectors and information about some of the things to avoid on ebay and craigslist could be very useful to new comers (in addition to pointing out their strengths of course). As mentioned earlier, a listing of reputable online dealers would be a great resource too, but should probably be its own secondary page.

A "buyer beware" warning in relation to flea markets is a good idea too. It's a very common story for the very good looking deal to turn out to be not very good at all by the time you get home.

In your garage sale section, I'd point out that they should look for sales that list comics specifically, and they should try to get there before they open. I hit literally hundreds of garage sales every year, and comics are very few and far between at sales that don't specifically list them.

My high level of intelligence has its' limits (:D) and that is why I came to this board for feedback I am getting really good ideas and these will be implemented. Keep them coming.
