I never quite understood how an issue published in October 1988 can be considered a "first appearance" when Aliens #1 was published in May 1988.

Aliens #1 is the first app. in Comics (not counting the adaptation of the first film by Heavy Metal), and the DHP 24 is the "origin" story. I remember having read issue #2, and being glad that there was a DHP appearance, because the wait time between issues of the regular series was months between.
