Just read the sad news, over on Comic Art Fans, that John Severin passed away over the weekend, aged 90 years.

Very sad news indeed! I dug out John's (and Marie's) issues of Kull to re-read in memory of his passing.

 

Severin's artwork was of a consistently high standard throughout his career (some artists peak and the work diminishes in quality - not so with JPS).

 

Whenever he inked another artist's work, his presence would always dominate the page.
