Infinity Darkness? The Great Gauntlet Saga?

The Great Darkness Saga has always been one of my favorite comic storylines. Even though most everyone knew that Darkseid was the antagonist, (I was little enough that I didn't even know who he was) I thought it was great the way the whole thing built up to the big reveal.

 

So I was thinking, how great would it have been if when the curtain was thrown back, it wasn't Darkseid after all. A surprise DC/Marvel crossover with Thanos as the villain would have been awesome.

The original Infinity Gauntlet series is my fave comic story line ever. But the more sequels and spin-offs that come out of it, the fewer accolade the original gets. But a DC/Marvel cross over idea would be something else.

Possibly would have been the best cross-over at that time, ranking with the Superman/Spider-Man team-up...
