Scanner Recommendations Needed

I'm going to break down and buy a new scanner - recommendations from everybody would be appreciated. My POS scanner is lousy on CGC books and other things. Thoughts?

Some Canon scanners (LIDE-models) use LED as light source, those scanners can't scan cgc-books at all. (Or anything that isn't in direct contact with glass.)

 

I bought one of those because they are smallest scanners on the market (3cm or 1-1/4 inch thick!!) with great scanning quality, but they are useless with cgc-books.

Consider a legal size scanner which will allow you to scan the entire slab. Depending on CGC's plans for magazine size books, you may also want to look into wider flatbeds.

I gave away my Canon scanner b/c the light was not bright enought to scan a slab even at 150 dpi. Switched to $65 HP Scanjet 4400c. Better eBay cgc /raw pics now.

I confirm that the canon scanner are the smallest on the market, but you can't scan CGC books...
