Making a better "Comic Book Men"!!!

19 posts in this topic

"ivegotneatstuff" has a great idea...

Why not create our own "Comic Book Men"?

There are enough heavy hitters and experience here to create a killer comic video blog.

Ideas are more than welcome!

One of the things that I feel would be a great start is interviewing key BIG sellers that

travel...

Many of those VIP sellers are here (Blazing Bob, Dale, Rick Gator, Flaming Telepath,

Flying Doughnut, Foolkiller, TupennyConan, capt_comics, to name a few...)

Another would be video recording your LCS and asking similar questions.

Make your video and load it to youtube.

But going to the initial concept, what questions(to keep it to around 20)

would you think would be the standard for each interview?

One question that I think would be solid:

"What do think about the current state of the hobby and where do you think it is going?"

What do you think?

What questions would you like on the interview?

What would make a good part of this video blog?

Once in a while, be sure to get a lady to give some input. Spice things up a little.

I was assuming the store owner would be a woman, throwing the viewers into a new dimension finding out there are fanatical female collectors.

It would be called "Comic Book Men - NOT!"

Sounds good to me!

That's cool.

I have talked to my video crew here at work and creating a "bottom 3rd"

isn't that difficult (meaning the plate that goes over the bottom of professional

videography that identifies the person talking and can be used as a advertisement

for the selected person).

I might start a video blog based upon these interviews.

Some of the sellers that are interested in participating - pm me

and I will check to see when you have spare time either at a comic show

or I have video studios in Durham, NC.

There will be a convention in downtown Durham NC COMICON where my office is right across the street from.

All participants will have the option to view all final video taken of them

before going public.

So what seller wants free advertising?
