THE BOUNCER #11 & #13

In going through my books I ran across BOUNCER #11 & #13 both from 1944.

Anybody know anything about them...including artists. #11 includes the origin.

The Bouncer was the creation of Robert Kanigher and was among his earliest comic contributions. It was not his best work which was in the war genre for DC.

Thanks...they don't seem to be very popular to collectors.

Bouncer also appeared in several of the Fox giant books. The stories and art are OK. The "man in a dress" covers probably throw off most collectors. The books are interesting in that there are several stories featuring supposedly actual readers.

The art is by E.C. Stoner isn't it. It would be interesting to know what Kanigher's impression of EC was back then.
