AF 15

Wondering what everyone thinks of this AF 15 I am considering buying. Sorry about the scan cropping, but it is what it is.

With out seeing all of the spine I feel like the spine creases and reading creases that we can see take it down to a 5.5. But then the chipping or piece out of the bottom takes it down to a 4.0. Great looking book overall.

Should be an easy 4.5. Looks better than some of the 5.0s u see floating around.

Yeah, hard to grade without seeing the spine. Also, considering there is some chipping on the bottom, that right side looks fairly clean, but perhaps a bit uneven? (resto-free guarantee?) 4.5

4.5--but a nice-looking 4.5. I'd buy that book, but I think my wife would walk out on me if I did though she collects comics and enjoys the hobby too. Though one day I might trade up to acquire a copy.

Exactly why I have not.I can't understand how this can be graded?

I would request the seller to put up un-cropped scans. If an experienced comic seller puts up a scan like that my assumption is they are trying to make it look a little better than it is, or downright trying to hide something as they ought to know better. In either case probably a good idea to avoid.

I might also ask about the paper quality of the bottom of the back cover -- looks a bit burnt might be brittle.

The first PGM I put was unfortunately cropped similar to this one and I was given much of the same feedback. I would suggest putting up another scan to show all the edges, using a white piece of paper as a background will help your scanner pick up the margins. Based on what is visible I would say 4.5 though.

Considering the chunk out of the bottom, I'm guessing an 3.5..."Marvel chipping" is generally on the side...not so sure CGC would be so generous with a piece missing from the bottom edge...
