When I first looked at this auction, it had broken something like $130...

I come back and WOW!

I wouldn't spend $1000+ on this interesting piece of emphemera, but it's cool to see that someone will.

1st time I've ever seen this 1961 fanzine by the Thompsons. Nice to know that Halperin won it & we may see it at Heritage Auctions once he gets bored of squinting to read the blurry mimeo.

The second issue is actually much more interesting to me since it supposedly has a letter from Carl Barks. This must have been shortly after Malcolm Willits met Barks for the first time. If anyone has Michael Barrier's book about Barks at hand and could check if the letter is printed in it, I'd greatly appreciate it (I am pretty sure it has to be there - an unknown 1961 letter would be pretty significant).
