Pretty much all mainstream golden-age comics (DC, Centaur, Dell, etc.) from the 30s into the early 40s are 68 pages (counting covers). Promotional comics are of course exceptions, as are a couple of "jumbo-size" issues. In the mid to late 40s you start getting into the odd 60-pages, and eventually most comics winnow down to 52 pages until the Atomic & Silver Ages (36 pages -- but be careful of the short period in the early 50s where DC produced 44 page comics!).
