LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION Presents the following SPECIAL GUESTS at the CLASSIC HORROR/SCIENCE FICTION themed Program taking place at the SUNDAY, MAY 6, 2012 show:

 

BARBARA LEIGH, the First WARREN VAMPIRELLA COVER MODEL will be signing autographs. BARBARA was to star in a Hammer Films VAMPIRELLA Movie, but when this didn't happen the photos of BARBARA were used for VAMPIRELLA Magazine Covers #67, 69, 71, 73, 74, 76, 77, and 78. BARBARA also starred in Movies such as JUNIOR BONNER (with Steve McQueen), STUDENT NURSES, SEVEN, and TERMINAL ISLAND. There's photos of BARBARA appearing at the 1975 FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND CONVENTION in full VAMPIRELLA Costume to promote the Movie at the May 6, 2012 Convention website

 

Stars from the Original DARK SHADOWS TV Series, KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT (starred as Maggie Evans, the romantic interest of BARNABAS COLLINS) and LARA PARKER (starred as Angelique, the witch that placed the curse that transformed BARNABAS into a Vampire) will both be signing their new DARK SHADOWS related books and photos.

 

British Actor IAN OGILVY starred as THE SAINT in THE RETURN OF THE SAINT TV Series, and in Classic Horror Movies such as WITCHFINDER GENERAL (US Title: THE CONQUEROR WORM, co-starring with Vincent Price), THE SORCERERS (with Boris Karloff), AND NOW THE SCREAMING STARTS and FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. First US Signing Appearance.

 

AUDREY DALTON stared in the Classic Horror Movie William Castle's MR. SARDONICUS, THE MONSTER THAT CHALLENGED THE WORLD, and in three episode's of BORIS KARLOFF'S THRILLER TV Series. AUDREY also appeared in Television series such as THE WILD, WILD WEST, VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA,THE GIRL FROM UNCLE and many, many more Movie and Television series. First and Only West Coast Signing Appearance.

 

ANN ROBINSON will be signing photos from her starring role in GEORGE PAL'S WAR OF THE WORLDS and ROCKY JONES, SPACE RANGER.

 

GEORGES JEANTY, Artist for the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Dark Horse Comic Book will be taking commissioned sketches and selling his sketchbooks.

Just added as a Special Guest to the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention taking place on Sunday, May 6, 2012 is Julie Adams, the star of Creature From The Black Lagoon . Julie will be signing all day. Julie is best known for starring in Creature From The Black Lagoon, but she also has a much wider range of credits and is still acting today (seen in shows such as Lost, CSI:NY, Cold Case). Some of Julie's Horror related roles include TV series such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, One Step Beyond, and Rod Serling's Night Gallery.

 

Dynamite Entertainment has provided a Vampirella Comic Book and Warner Brothers has provided a full size 27x41 two sided Dark Shadows Movie Poster (new Movie directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins) for attendees. Both the Vampirella Comic Book (a $3.99 value) and Dark Shadows Movie Poster (a $20.00 value) will be given away free to all Early Admission attendees while supplies last. Early Admission is only $12.00 which allows shopping in the Dealers Room beginning at 9:10 A.M.

The Dealers Room has a really good sign up covering a wide range of collectibles featuring Terence McVickers Rare Books (who will have Science Fiction paperbacks, some pulps, original art by Virgil Finlay and Stephen Fabian), FVF Comics, Alan Rutledge, Don Madision, Aladdin Books, Frances Green, Jeff Dixon, Ron Vreeken, Fernando Abarca, Jimmy Ruiz, Comics Ink, Comic Cellar, Angelo DiMeo, Alan Williams, Scott Hudlow, Galaxy of Comics, and many others. Many of the dealers at the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention you won't see at other shows, and you're more likely to find some really good deals at this show.
