dust shadow on book

Another question: Does it hurt resale much to GA high dollar buyers?

I believe it depends on the book. If we're talking a major key or a cool cover (Schomberg war cover) I could live with a sun or dust shadow if priced accordingly. I'm more of a 1950s DC collector. I wouldn't pass up an Action Comics 242 with a dust shadow if the rest of the book was nice and had sharp colors. Just my opinion. Also the dust shadow on the back cover IMO is not as bad as the dust shadow on the front cover unless we have a cool back cover which many DC early Batman and Superman Annuals have.
