Regarding CAF comments...

Hi guys,

 

 

I've been contacted by a fellow CAFer who'd said he had tech trouble

leaving comments on my some of my Jim Aparo pieces;

he said he was logged out as soon as he tried to enter his comment

(and the comments didn't register).

 

I think he was referring to either the KNIGHTFALL page with Bane and

Catwoman,

or the BATMAN 3D pinup of Batman vs Ra's Al Ghul, as he mentioned pieces

with multiple comments. Both pieces can be found here:

I'm not sure if the problem is exclusive to my Jim Aparo pieces, but was

wondering

if any of you were trying to leave comments on my gallery and had been

experiencing

this problem ?

Haven't attempted to leave you any comments, but I have experienced similar problems when leaving comments on other CAF galleries.

 

Similarly, some comments left on a few of my own pieces have yet to register.

The fellow CAFer seemed to have traced the problem, to quote:

"Google Chrome didn't work right with the site. Firefox did though.

I guess certain browsers act up with the site."

 

 

Hope this helps, for me it certainly helped - as he managed to leave

the comment he wished.

that sounds about right... CAF really needs an overhaul...

I wonder if it's an older version of chrome. I only use Chrome and never have had any issues on CAF.

 

I don't think CAF needs an overhaul at all, I think it does the job it was made to do fairly well.

 

The only quibble I have with it is I'd prefer if people could select artists from a drop down. That way there wouldn't be so many misspellings on the site.

Agree with everything you've said.

 

Using the Comic Artists Database is ineffective if the CAF owner didn't spell the name correctly. And even worse is seeing and artists name spelled 3 or 4 different ways within the SAME CAF GALLERY

From a software developer's perspective the site definitely needs a UI overhaul
