Blunted Corners - Leading Comics

3 posts in this topic

Hi,

I'm looking at a CGC 8.0 Leading Comics #1, but think it might be overgraded a bit based on the blunted corner (images below). Otherwise, it's a great looking book.

Any thoughts on whether this is over-graded or not, and what you think it truly is? I don't want to pay 8.0 prices for a book that's simply graded too high.

Thanks for your help and insight!

Nice looking copy, but I wouldn't consider a book with that much loss on the bottom corner and the foxing evident to be an 8.0.

I don't know what FMV is on this book, but unless you only collect VF or better, offer what you would for a 7.0 and see what happens.

Yep, agreed. Thanks for confirming. That bottom corner really is in bad shape. Not sure how it got an 8.0 (GA Bump, I guess), but I think I'll treat it more like a 7.0 with my offer. Thanks!
