X-men 1

I had this same dilemma last year with an X 1. I decided to have Matt Nelson restore it.

 

The tough part is finding another X1 to use for the top that is affordable to make it all happen.

 

Here is my original X1 that I'm having restored, and then the piece that I found. Moneywise, it looks like I'll come out really good on this. Matt's a little slow though.... it's been 6 months since I submitted it to him. I wonder when I'll get it.

It was Matt's own recommendation. This way the paper quality is exactly the same. Have you felt the reproduction covers? they're slightly thicker and don't feel right.

 

The 2nd xmen I found was very low grade with all kinds out panels cut out of the interior pages. It's not like I chopped up a 3.0 or anything.
