Cool book. I'm going with 3.5. The creases along the spine are keeping it from a higher grade.

I'm in the 4.0 camp but agree seeing the cover opened and flattened like it was in the last pic in you first set of scans was painful - you might have added sufficient creasing around the staples to knock a 0.5 grade off the book right there...
