The Official "Six Degrees of Stan Lee" Game Thread

Six Degrees of Stan Lee

Rules:

1) A winner is someone who solves a submission in 6 degrees (steps) or less back to Stan Lee.

A degree is defined as a direct physical connection between two people such as immediate family or employment.

For the purposes of this game, employment must be project-based such as a movie, TV series, comic book title, etc.

For comic books, the connection must be at the writer/artist level working on the same issue of the title at the same time.

2) All solutions must provide a new submission within the same post. This post must "stand alone" and may not quote any other post.

3) All solutions must reference the solved submission and submission number.

4) All submissions must be numbered, and in sequential order.

5) Submissions must be real people.

6) Only a winner can make a submission.

7) All submissions must be solvable in 6 degrees.

8) If a submission is not solved within 1 hour, the submitter can solve the submission, become a coveted "Excelsior!" winner, and make two submissions.

9) If a submission is not solved within 2 hours, the first person to point this out becomes a winner and may make a new submission.

10) Discussions, pictures and videos are encouraged, just don't lock the thread.

Example:

Here I am solving 80) Louis C.K. in two degrees (SL2) and providing the next sequential submission 91) Eddie Izzard within the same "stand alone" post.

80) Louis C.K.

Louis C.K. was in "Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins" with James Earl Jones

James Earl Jones was in "The Ambulance" with Stan Lee

SL2

91) Eddie Izzard

Here Miraclemet is solving 91) Eddie Izzard in two degrees (SL2) and providing the next sequential submission 92. Edward Woodward within the same "stand alone" post.

91. Eddie Izzard

1, Eddie Izzard was in "Oceans 12" with Don Cheadle

2. Don Cheadle and Stan Lee are both in "Iron Man 2"

SL2

92. Edward Woodward

I spent a bunch of time on the Tarantino one, so I'll submit it even though there's already a winner. I hope my boss wasn't paying attention to me screwing around on IMDB...

Quentin Tarantino was an Elvis impersonator on 'The Golden Girls' with Estelle Getty.

Estelle Getty was in 'Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot' with Sylvester Stallone.

Sylvester Stallone was in 'The Expendibles' with Mickey Rourke.

Mickey Rourke was in 'White Sands' with Samuel L. Jackson.

Samuel L. Jackson was in 'The Avengers' with Scarlett Johanssen.

Scarlet Johanssen's stolen cell phone nudie pics are on Stan Lee's phone.

That's 4 degrees. I can do it in 3. :)

Susan Sarandon & James Franco appear in In the Valley of Elah

James Franco appears in the Spider-man franchise.

Stan Lee created Spider-man.

Anybody do it in 2 degrees? :ohnoez:

(is that how the game is played? )

Sean Bean

Make sure you number them in sequential order, or it will get confusing later.

3) Sean Bean

Ok...I'm really bowing out now. :)

Typical upper management. Get the ball rolling and then take the afternoon off...

Exactly!

That makes you a winner, and you may now make a submission at any time.

Just make sure you number it sequentially after the latest submission.

Alright, I'm going to assume I nailed Sean Bean in two degrees and that constitutes as a 'win'. Let's take it up a notch:

#4 Gary Sinise
