So, why did you buy it? I mean you were used to the GA heroes and boom there appears Funny Animals. I wouldn't have bought it unless you were already buying Funny Animals. Which Funny Animals titles were you looking for then at that time?

I was always a fan of Funny Animal comics including FUNNY FOLKS,

FUNNY STUFF, LOONEY TUNES, DISNEY COMICS, SUPER DUCK,

GIGGLE COMICS, HA HA COMICS etc.

I guess I was attracted to COMIC CAVALCADE #30 because it was a

new format for a familiar comic.

Then DC / National knew its market. We are today so super-hero centric that we fail to recognize what you are telling us. Instead of a huge disappointment of losing the heroes, you were intrigued and anticipating reading these features in the revamped book.

Thanks for the stories.

Another favorite was SUPER COMICS...even though they were mostly

reprints of newspaper strips, they were episodes that I hadn't read yet and

helped fill in the background of stories I was currently reading in the Daily

and Sunday papers. I believe this was my first SUPER COMICS.

Nice book, Marty. I like how it says "Formerly Military Comics" across the top. This was the 1st issue with the new "Modern Comics" title.

I especially like Super comics with Gasoline Alley stories. I think Bill likes the Detective Tracy covers. What strip did you like?

I'm slowly trying to collect Super Comics #1 - 115. Still have quite a ways to go, but I do have 1 - 17 complete, and about 20 issues after 17
