I'm on board with this notion. I don't see the PiF thread as being any less important than a thread to sell books. If you can't follow through with your end of the bargain it should be PL worthy. Especially when the count is, correct me if I'm wrong, 3 failures at shipping.

 

If techvoodoo and the other boardie confirm, yes they are three. I had to solicitate my shipment and now it should have had arrived, is everyone OK with this option?

I don’t like to nurture preconceptions towards people, but Mkkiller continued to show pretty much lack of care, and thus he should make it right, in respect of everyone participating in the thread.

 

Whats the usual delivery time from US to italy?

The fact that it took a month for the book to (supposedly) ship is screwed up unto itself.

 

I've had a PIF take a while to arrive before too, and theres leeway (since its free) and then theres abuse (since there is a gentlemens agreement on all these transactions).

 

If you arent prepared to ship within a reasonable time frame, dont play.

And if you dont have the $$ to pay for shipping, dont play.

Seems simple enough of of a concept.

 

I had sent him a PM a few days ago and asked for a status update. He didn't reply to the first one but I could see it had been read. I sent him a 2nd message the next day and no reply but saw it was read. I sent a 3rd message with a somewhat angry tone and he replied and said he didn't ship mine yet but would after his ebay auctions ended. I claimed his offer on May 25th if I'm not mistaken. That makes it 3 weeks ago. I haven't received it yet.

 

This is all I know.

Mkkiller arrived here asking for a list of comics in the WTB section. Some people (including Shark) made a priced list of what they had to offer but he did not reply to their PM messages.

Then a part of the people complained it would have been at least polite to reply and say he was not interested in them, and people started to complain.

Mkkiller then popped up and apologized but was surprised as he said that since he was not interested he did not deemed necessary to reply. Then most people got angry but in the end he seemed to understand that it was a question of respect to have at least a reply.

 

Afterwards he started to frequent the various sections, and started a sales thread without reading the rules. Miraclemet reproached him and helped him fix the sales thread he started (correct me if I am wrong, 'Met).

 

Then he came here and claimed Crimebuster offer of an incomplete golden age comic (I remember this well as I would have loved it… :cry: ).

After that, he made his offer and some people lamented about his offer, so he changed it and added a Marvel Fanfare #1 signed by McLeod.

 

Since it seemed he understood his impolite behavior I decided to claim the book and have the thread go on. I posted the "take it" conditionally because if he deemed too expensive to ship to Italy he could have skipped.

He accepted, we exchanged PMs (where he thanked me privately) for the address, and then I forgot about it.

Some two weeks passed and I PMd him again to ask. He told me he had been busy at work and was planning to ship the week after but he told me he was not willing to pay more than $15 for shipping, if the cost exceeded that.

I told him he could have refused my claim, as I posted it conditionally precisely because of that, so he agreed. I also assured him it was unlikely he’d have spent more than $15.

Then I PMd him once again and after a few days he told me he finally shipped. That was on May 18.

 

Shipments to Italy (First Class) usually take a pair of weeks, up to three weeks but this is rare, so it should have already arrived.

I am waiting to get the Marvel Fanfare #1 from Mkkiller. He had problems so he shipped it around May 18. This means it should have arrived in early June… :wishluck:

 

Mkkiller also hasn't shipped me the offer I claimed from him... been almost 3 weeks here.

 

I have been waiting since march 28 for a Marvel reader lot from Mkkiller.

 

I missed this, March 28th :o

Just PL the guy. This is an obviously established pattern of behavior.

 

Due to wedding/honeymoon expenses, this is the one thread on here involving goods that I can participate in, I don't wanna see one person kill the game for everybody.

Yep. Ok. I'm leaving this thread alone until everybody works it out and I doubt I'll be making any trades with Mkkiller in the SS trade weekend either just my way of dealing I guess.

 

I do not see it as a "personal" thing, I just would expect he understands, then he honors what he has to honor, and apologize (especially if he did it somewhat on purpose), in respect of everyone.

 

Thanks to Met for the recap. So he had already claimed something before the GA book offered by Crimebuster.

 

Now who takes the hassle to contact him? Should we nominate him for the probation list or PM him before?

I think we do need to adopt a few new guidelines.

 

1.) You can't claim something if you haven't shipped out your previous offer. You should ship your offer within (insert reasonable time frame).

 

This is sort of a bandaid that probably won't really work if someone is going to just try to screw people over/steal from the group. It's sort of like creating a gun free zone, it doesn't actually make the area safer. But it's probably worthwhile to have the rule on the books so people know what is expected of them.

 

2.) More importantly, if someone hasn't recieved something within (insert reasonable time frame) report it to the group.

 

No blame on woregul here at all, he was just trying to be polite and non-confrontational I'm guessing, but if there had been a rule in place to advise him to report that he didn't receive his stuff perhaps one or both of the others could have avoided having the same problem.

 

Probably a few other things that could be done to help.

My offer is, A Stack 'o Spider-man. About 50 different spiderman books in all. There's enough spiderman here to choke any spider fan. Here's what's included.

 

EDIT: Shipping outside of the US probably isn't possible given the weight of this. If you want to foot the bill for shipping outside the US that's fine however.

BTW, what does an Avengers #1 blank contain? Are they reprints of the original issues, i.e. the original 1963 #1 or some modern *@à&? lol

 

How do we behave with Mkkiller, then?
