FROM POV REGARDING PIF PL/HOS LIST

 

I saw your reply to me about my setting things up with the Mods here for a PIF area where you can have more formalized rules, a violator list etc.

 

The thing is I have no special pull with the mods. And if hey go for it there will be communication between you/whoever takes this on and the mods. You will be composing the info in final format and sending it to them to post if the area is locked, like the PL/HOS Rules thread.

 

It took several weeks for us to get the PL/HOS coordinated and it even went through a revision when the off-board between forum members issue was brought up.

 

I would suggest you start a thread posting the current rule set and seeking thoughts from people as far as clarifying the rules, figuring out the violations, how to get on whatever list you make etc. Similar to the PL/HOS scenario we went through.

 

if you do this and then communicate with the mods, presenting them a well thought out package and showing them user involvement. They may take it more seriously than just someone requesting it.

Epic Fail....lol You are totally right. Jeez, I can't even keep my Donkey Junk straight. haha

 

So when that issue of X-Force 1 came out as a kid, I truly did keep it bagged and never opened believing it would be worth something someday. Fast forward and I still have that same crappy comic but now I keep it unopened as a source of amusement. :)

Sorry for bringing the issue back up guys but...

It's quite funny how Beige's nice little comment was deleted along with the entire page here. I guess the way to solve a problem here is to just get entire conversations deleted and act like nothing happened. I just went to the thread with the poll for the PIF to be included in PL and nothing else has been mentioned since the deletion here. So I will state my opinion again on the page that got deleted.

 

I am done trying to get the PIF included on the PL list. In my eyes, the ENTIRE CGC forum is a community that should work as a whole. It's obvious that there are members who view that differently for some reason. ManicNerd was wanting to put a member from this thread on the PL list in order to warn the entire community about a potential problem member. For whatever reason, the people here who like to trade comics and offer up extra stuff we have to others are considered peasants to some of those who post on the PL list even though many of us frequent the marketplace and spend a good amount of money there. So, I am not trying to speak for everyone here and if I am out of line I apologize but my opinion is we just keep on like we are here and watch out for each other. If a problem member comes along we can warn each other and let the "elite" get screwed over. I hate to say that because there were actually quite a few people in that PL discussion who agreed with our argument but a few jerks over there had to ruin that. So anyway, that's my Friday night after bars opinion :)

POV gave you the info to construct a PIF probation list. If you showed the same amount of effort with that, rather than moaning about my post and the perceived injustice toward you by the "establishment", you probably could have finished it by now.

I've happily participated in this thread, and given away slabs, silver age low number Spideys (keys as well). Even a 9.4 Walking Dead #1 was donated.

It's a cool thread, and a great idea - I like it.

But if you are going to get all snippy about 'elitism', rather than focus on the issues that need sorting, then you are just spouting hot-air.

If you are going to start a PIF probation list - then do it.

If not, shut up!

It's that simple. If you think this was bad son, just wait until the experienced sledgers start on you.
