So explain to me how this CGC 10.0 was apparently open game for a SILVER PEN, but Dave Sim apparently scrawled all over his Cerebus figures because Silver Pen ink fades and is not used with SS books?

Dave Sim's decision to use a ballpoint pen instead of a black or silver sharpie WAS ENTIRELY HIS CHOICE. He researched inks and decided this was the best way to go.

 

Just about everyone else uses a sharpie (black, silver, gold).

 

His books didn't get 10.0s because he signed them in pen, they got 10.0s because they were perfect books, like this copy of JLA/Avengers.
