I received two cgc slabs this week where the case on the right hand side can be opened slightly. The case appears to be damage free everywhere else. Is this a common problem or did I just have a string of bad luck?

 

One slab was a hulk #4 that was shipped from Canada in a padded envelope with no other protection. And the seller is refusing to take responsiblity for shipping it negligbly.

Is the case cracked or damaged?

The sides of the case has some give. You can pry it apart a little with your fingers. Are the 4 corner posts intact?

Yes the four corner posts are in tact. No cracks or any other damage.

Thanks, I checked all my other slabs and none have that same give so I wasn't sure.
