96 posts in this topic

Turnaround times for Economy is just under 4 months at the present time, it has improved(not by much) over the last 3 weeks.

>>> the date of 3-3-04 was as of July 6, only.

>>> It might actually be improving as we converse.

True, but some of the dates changed for OTHER categories,

so they did do some updating.

And the original wording was to the effect that you'll

see good news every day. Not for us "ecomony-centric"

users.

>>> They don't update it every day.

Which is another of my minor peeves. Why not update it

every day? Or every hour? Same with census data.

They probably do it manually (bad idea), but it

should be just computer databases feeding information

into web sites. This is a problem that HAS been solved.

My bank, my credit card company, heck even the local public

library has up-to-date info. Why can't CGC do this also?

I do realize I'm carping on this perhaps more than is necessary.

I like the service that CGC provides. But I wish they'd run

their web site like professionals, and I wish they'd get their

act together about turnaround times.

>>> As for Economy,....well, I get about middle of November

But Economy times are not advancing in a 1-to-1 manner with

real time.

Walk it through:

Four months from now (in mid November), they'll have worked

through only _TWO_ months of submissions. So they'll be returning

books sent in as of 5/3/2004 (admittedly, this is a ballpark

kind of a guess).

Then two months later (Jan 2005), they'll be returning books sent

in as of 6/3/2004. Then two months later (March 2005), they'll

be returning books sent in as of 7/3/2004.

Stranger, you have to stop dwelling on the turnaround times, let it go, youre going to give yourself an ulcer.

There has been times in the last year that Economys were shipping back in less than 9 weeks. Cheer up, they will catch up eventually. hi.gif

CGC has taken plenty of grief over the turnaround times recently. Can't remember who it was exactly but some sick basterd, with too much time on his hands.

I think it would be ingratious to hammer further expecially when things are starting to improve.

>>> didn't economy move 2 days (to 3/5/04)?

Yes, it did.

And now it's moved BACK to 3/3/04. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
