For those who don't know, this is a nod to one of the best loved scenes in British comedy.

 

It's from the much loved and long running comedy series; Only Fools and Horses, where the two main characters are on their way to a fancy dress party, when their van breaks down and they have to run the rest of the way. And yes, in the original, the Batman Theme plays in the background. (they even scare off some muggers en route).

 

The payoff, is that in typical style, they get the message wrong, and when they finally arrive at the party, it's not a party at all, but a funeral wake!
