Speaking of guys with one eye...

Strange Tales #167 CGC 9.0 off-white pages (old label)

one sale at $68 this year on GPA, but that seems like a low outlier. Consistent sales at $100 or better from 2005 to 2011.

Asking Price: $95

I'll take it...

Apologies for the lateness & lack of Adams. Sometimes life just gets in the way!

A couple tonight...

First:

th_VAULT.jpg

House of Mystery #180 (CGC 8.5) cream to off-white pages

(slight glare near creature's left hand & piano from my scanner)

Biggest defect is an impact ding on the top spine corner that put some NCB stress in that top corner (front & back). There are a couple of color flecks missing & maybe two 1/8" hairline stress lines. I thought this book got destroyed by CGC - but as all coaches say: "It is what it is."

Asking $65 (Not a ton of GPA data on this book. There is a $60 sale this year in 9.2, but that seems a low outlier, as the previous 5 years it has been a steady $100 book)

House of Mystery #181 (CGC 9.0) off-white pages

Looks like maybe a possible stain or foxing on the back cover, top edge, right along the spine (3/4" long x 1/8" wide).

Two 1/32" abrasions/impressions on the top edge of the cover (possibly from bindery straps/strings).

That's it on the covers - must have an interior defect. Corners are great, spine is fantastic - looks like an all-day 9.4

Asking $75 SOLD!

(Last GPA noted 9.0 sale from 2007. There is a 9.2 this year at $71 & the Savannah 9.4 at $143 this year)

Witching Hour #13 F+

• Front cover - noticeable 1-1/2" non color-breaking diagonal bend from about 1" up the spine to bottom cover edge

• About six additional NCB spine ticks

• Corners slightly soft/abraided

• Back cover, another diagonal bend/crease about 5" long. Very light, but starts about the middle of the book & runs down to the bottom edge.

• Three small 1/16" to 1/8" tears on open edge, back cover, middle of book

Presents nicely, but technical grade hurts.

Asking $18

Witching Hour #14 NM-

• Approximately 5 or 6 spine ticks, each about 1/16" in length that barely break black cover

• Top & bottom spine corners slightly abraided

• Beautiful color & gloss

• Back cover clean & white

Very, very nice copy that wouldn't hit a 9.6, but no way is a 9.0

Asking: $115 (full guide)
