• Staples are centered & snug, however, they do show a little bit of rust.

• Superior color strike & nice gloss

• Good off-white to white page quality

• Four or five spine ticks/stresses, front cover

• Very light 1-1/2" bend from bottom edge up, below Thor's right foot

• Tiny 1/4" color-breaking crease into Comics Code Authority, upper right corner

• Back cover is clean, but has three very light non color-breaking bends (two near spine, one diagonal - near Mike Marvel)

• Staples perfectly snug into centerfold (clean & no rust evident)

• Beautiful color strike & gloss.

• Page quality probably cream to off-white, but very, very supple pages.

• Staples perfectly snug into the centerfold, however staples slightly offset on the back cover.

• There is an accumulation of light edge-wear, mostly along the spine (spine ticks & corner softness)

• Also a few non color-breaking small impressions - primarily just little 'reader bends' in the cover. These are only noticeable when you tilt the book back & forth in direct light.

• The edge-wear & small impressions just seem to add up enough to take the book out of straight VF range.

• Very nice copy

• Very nice color strike and good gloss.

• Page quality appears to be off-white.

• Both covers are nice and clean. There is a bit of a mis-wrap here

• Staples are snug into the centerfold, but slightly off-center toward the back.

• Red date stamp, front cover above Lava Man's head. (doubtful it's a Green River, but I did buy it from Brian Peets)

• Lower-left corner, front cover has a small 1/4" tear at the bottom edge in the green word bubble.

• This tear does go into the first 8 pages of the book, but it is smaller with each page. Tough to see, unless paying attention to it.

• There is another tear on page 1 at the top spine edge. It is 2" in length.

• The tears are the biggest defects & reason for downgrade. It looks VF- or better upon first inspection.
