2nd appearance of THE PHANTOM in comics. This Phantom appearance is from March 1938, 3 months before Superman appeared in Action 1. These early Ace Phantom issues are super tough to find in any grade. BTW, the pages are not as dark as they appear in the photos.

Really sharp, clean, bright copy of this Timely first issue. Presents really well, just a couple of small tears bring the technical grade down. Cover and interior art by Basil Wolverton.
