GRADE THIS ASM 136

19 posts in this topic

Very nice book. Unfortunately the wanker of a spine crease and the two minute edge tears to the back cover would keep it from higher than a 8.0. I hate to give a book this nice a low grade, but:

7.5

One of the pages in the centerfold of the book also has a 1" tear. Would such a defect cause further deductions....or would CGC simply qualify it?

confused-smiley-013.gif Might note it on the label... I don't see it getting a green label for it.

At the staple or at the edge?

How much of a deduction for the tear?

I think this book will get a 7.0 and I think CGC will just mention the tear on the label.

Yeah I'm not so sure they will really take off for the tear. From what I have seen unless it's uber high the interior pages don't have that big of an effect unless it's something major or a huge tear. Does the tear even go into any panels?

I just checked....

It's a two-page splash page...and the tear(which is actually about an inch and a half) cuts into the art by about an inch.

7.0

Another quarter inch and you wouldn't have to include the back cover scan.

Most of it's already on the front cover.

Yeah, it's a killer splash page I recall - can you post it? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif
