I sent it in back in early October. I had CCS press it. So they pressed a 9.6 into a …. 9.6.

I am content but not overjoyed. It could have gone much worse!

My book went over from CCS to CGC on the 14th, so you may be up next!

only 6 out of 572  ASM 300 came back 9.8 in this signing so far.

Man seems like they are picking up the pace. Had a small modern submission That I mailed last Thursday get delivered Monday scanned in the system Tuesday and go to sfg Wednesday. This is by far the quickest I've had a submission progress.

Did it have visible “pressable” defects and/or Grader Notes which sounded like “pressable” defects?

To me it was a 9.8 all along. I only pressed it in the same way you roll the dice at a casino.

That said, CGC graded it a 9.6 on two separate occasions, 10 years apart! So that is informative.

I paid a buck fifty for it, so I should be happy.

Mechanical errors seem to be taking a long time. Had stuff that arrived last month, still not in the system.

I had a mechanical error that was signed for by CGC on 11/22/22 and it didn't show up received until 12/13/22 and it is still stuck at scheduled for grading.

I called a couple of weeks ago and they told me that the mailroom was backed up with all submissions to include mechanical errors, walkthroughs and express that were behind schedule and hadn't been processed yet.

However several boardies with fast track economy submissions have made it through before my ME so who knows.

Modern Submission

Delivered to CGC 12/10/2022

Received 12/19/2022

G/E/I 12/21/2022

Back to received 12/23/2022

I have never seen a sub go backwards to received again after G/E/I, to where I can't even see the book details anymore. Has anyone else had this happen and was there a reason if you have?

Thanks

Were your prescreens fast tracked?  My prescreens arrived on 12/14 as well but still showing as "scheduled."

No, none of my submissions were fast-tracked. Everything I submitted took about the same amount of time.

Mine just did. A 316 that went in as a 9.2/9.4 came out an 8.0

I sent in a slabbed ASM 300 at 9.6. I am in a state of terror over it. I wish I could just get my 9.6 back.

Was the 316 Raw or already slabbed?

I sent in a 9.6 slabbed 316 that’s in Grading/Quality Control since 12/22.  With all the horror stories going around, I’m hoping the CCS press will help maintain the grade. 🤞

Signature Series Modern Slow Track

  • 12/22 - Received
  • 12/27 - SFG
  • 12/27 - GEI
  • 12/28 - Credit Card Charged
  • 12/28 - Grading/QC
  • 12/29 - Shipped

The above is the 3rd SS submission of mine that has skated through while another has been stuck in SFG since 11/8. There are 11 books in the batch which were sent in for pressing then regrading: 8 are Signature Series and 3 are Universal. Here is the current breakdown:

  • 2/10 - Delivered to CGC
  • 3/21 - Received at CCS
  • 3/22 - Changed service from Modern to Signature Series Modern
  • 9/19 - CCS in Process
  • 9/19 - Credit Card Charged
  • 11/8 - SFG
  • 11/9 - Credit Card Charged
  • 11/17 - 3 Universal books moved off submission

While the submission has 3 less books in it, there wasn’t an additional submission added just for the 3 books. I’ve asked the submissions department every two weeks where these books are and they tell me to be patient. I ask them why the 8 books are stuck in SFG while I have other submissions moving through very quickly and they tell me to be patient. In the last email I sent them, I asked if they could have someone physically see the books so that I know they’re not lost and they replied that they have “thousands of submissions that we must sort through in order to find them”.

It should be noted that they have been very nice throughout this ordeal but haven’t given me any answers that would make me worry less. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Perhaps it was my fault for mixing Universal books with SS for a single pressing and regrading submission (I didn’t think it would matter). I don’t know. It has me perplexed (shrug)

@CGC Mike can you help with this perhaps?

I will try really hard to help.  Unfortunately, I can't make any promises that I will be successful.

Could you PM me your submission number and customer id number?
