  1. It's definitely a gamble. I've had stuff get damaged from grading/reholders, but not pressing (yet).
  2. Had it happen a couple times (9.8 -> 9.6). Both managed to bump back to 9.8 after sending for a second press + regrade. If it bothers you, take the gamble.
  3. Some wiggle is considered normal. If it's sliding enough to damage the book, definitely email them.
  4. Mis-remembered. Some were done in car shop waiting room. It's impressive how they send them home with books and they keep the grade!
  5. Remark from Frank Cho! They did give me a scan on this one. @ADAMANTIUM I'd also seen this one on IG, think he said he did it in a waiting room.
  6. No better way to learn, than lose $40-70 and get an 8.0. Becoming a regular occurrence for me too. With them changing threshold for 1099s, still extra paperwork even if you sell at loss.
  7. It's definitely gone up in price (maybe possibly manipulation). I don't think I'll ever be able to get another. Sabine being French, was the most fitting to send. Think you've got #7 with Odessa on the couch.
  8. Back from the Sabine Rich signing. Absolutely worth the gamble! @ADAMANTIUM
  9. I don't see the scan. Maybe I'm blind. https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4320853001/ That said, I did notice the signature from Campbell (in my sig) lines up perfectly with the one she posted on IG.
  10. Frank Cho remarque / Nakayama signing went to GEI today. I don't usually pay for imaging, did they start including it free? She posted one on Instagram while NYCC was happening. Assuming it was mine, I think I already saw it.
  11. For signings, I've seen it take a couple weeks. Not usually an issue, as signings are in distant future.
  12. Only had it on a couple moderns out of 100. Initially I mistook it to be a misaligned cover, but was told otherwise.
  13. Remarque from Sabine signing went to GEI today.
  14. From experience, the slabs for thicker books tend to have a little more wiggle room for inner well. Sometimes reholdering will lessen it.
  15. I noticed a couple artists (not Gaiman) were posting pictures of their sketches online during NYCC. How soon after would the turnaround start?
  16. Hi, I submitted a number of SS submissions for signing. Would my credit card have been charged once the books are received or after they have been signed? Some of these were a number of months back, so hard to check. Thanks
  17. Sent a half dozen for signings/sketches, wondering how many will have mislabel/newton/debris/cracks. Sucks they have the prettiest label.
  18. Newtons often get filtered out by scanners, due to how they function.
  19. Hi. A few weeks or so back, Frank said the CGC signing would be delayed. Is there a new time window for when it will take place, since the cutoff already happened?
  20. Unfortunately, the quality control is going down the latrine... Next scuffing/debris will be considered acceptable. Was hoping with the policy change, they'd put more resources into QC... My last submission had scratches, mislabels, and dirt in the cases. It's sad that so much attention is given to grading, but not QC. A few pixels of color rub is detected by graders, but dirt/scuff/Newtons aren't.
