Any one get a value fast track back recently? Does prescreen affect turn around time?

 

 

I am waiting on some from the 12/12/12

 

Yes, prescreen adds about half the turnaround time to it, from what I was told.

So, 6 month TAT would make it 9 months?

9-19 verified

 

update... so the 9-19 invoice just went straight from "verified" to "graded" today. Anyone else had this happen?

 

9-19 invoice shipped today.

 

So, you get your 9/19 submission shipped, while mine from 8/23 still sits in limbo. This is starting to get ridiculous.

Its is a shame that image is notated as anti cause I think of it in my eyes as a pro since I have a more socialist mindset than capitalistic or at least the 21st century definition of it anyway.

Did you call CGC and ask what was up?

 

A regular modern invoice from 10/8/2012 moved to "scheduled for grading" today - CGC is definitely improving the turnaround times.

I've had cases where the pre-screen changed, both ways. I believe only one grader looks at it for the prescreen and can be overruled by the finalizer. I have noticed the

number of books passing always remains the same. I think this is because they put in the credit card charge after the prescreen. Keeping the count the same saves a lot of

accounting. Of course, I am just speculating.

Does it cost anything to open a FedEx account, or do you have to ship a certain amount to qualify? I would do this, but am small potatoes compared to some and would only do this if the costs were low enough (like free to sign up). Thanks!

Peewee, as a suggestion, open up a FedEX account and specify Fedex Ground on your CGC invoice. I usually get my Fedex Ground in 2 days as oppossed to Registered mail. It's faster and a lot cheaper !

 

New news to me. Good idea.

 

It finally showed up on USPS.com. The book is in Memphis after 8 days.
