Was the artist going for the Allred style? I was going to pick it up but backed out. In one panel the Sub-Mariner looked oddly proportioned. The art just didn't drag me in. Can someone who picked it up tell me if the story was worth it?

I didn't think the art was as distinct as Allred's, but you are right it certainly was different from your average superhero book.

 

It was an okay read. I'm thinking that this series will be like the thunderbolts...really interesting until the big secret that they are hiding is revealed, and where else do you get to see Hawkeye shoot someone in the butt....and not with a boxing glove arrow or stun arrow or other such junk.

I'm thinking about giving it another chance. The different art turned me off on it a bit, but I like the idea of an Invader book. I wouldn't want it to have a short life.
