PGM - Fantastic Four #5 - Grade is IN

This book was the best of the "C HOLMES" books that I got. Tough for me with the Marvel chipping. Not sure how bad CGC will hammer it. Beside the chipping, its a real Beauty.

I'd say a solid 5.5 with a shot at 6.0. But I am not sure of the vagaries of how chipping is factored by CGC...

indeed CGC is VERY forgiving with marvel chips but this FF resembles this 6.0 below in overall appearance. Somewhere out there, there is an AF 15 7.0 and Hulk #1 8.0 with chipping that are quite bad also. I have a ASM 1 7.0 with chipping as well

Get it pressed and graded.

There's a crease on the back that looks like it could be removed.

After that I could see this going anywhere from 5.5-7.0

 

I know that's a big range but I'm not sure how much they would take off for the name.

Maybe nothing since it's below VF.

The chipping is heavy, but it's still chipping (a common defect in varying degrees). I wouldn't be surprised if it got 6.0

......I'd say 5.5, but have seen this type of book slabbed higher.....you might get lucky and get a 6.5.....pretty book. The pics show it's strengths much better than the scan does. GOD BLESS....

Should be a lock. Instantly thought 6.5/7 when I saw the scans/pictures. CGC it for sure.
