How many wraps in a GA comic

How many wraps are typically in a GA comic - specifically a Timely comic?

I have some coverless copies and just want to verify all pages are there.

It might depend on the year. I think most of those were 52 page books (but some are 68), so that would be a total of 13 wraps, if my math is right. I believe that also includes the cover.

 

If you have specific issues, you can always go to the Grand Comics Database (http://www.comics.org/) and get specific details of your particular book.

by my count then, one coverless book i have is incomplete with only 60 pages. now i have to determine which wrap is missing. most likely the centerfold?

There were a lot of funky page counts during WWII. Don't necessarily assume you have a book with missing pages until you know the page count for that specific issue.

 

You can look up books by story title on comics.org

 

Or you can just post a scan of the first page in the Gold section and let someone else do the work for you

im going to go through the book page by page and see if story breaks are present and if not, get the detailed info.

and post in gold to see what anyone knows.

Sometimes a 52 pg book includes the cover... 12 wraps x 4 pgs = 48 pgs plus 4 pgs for all 4 sides of the cover. Others have 52 story pages.
