How many wraps in a GA comic

11 posts in this topic

It might depend on the year. I think most of those were 52 page books (but some are 68), so that would be a total of 13 wraps, if my math is right. I believe that also includes the cover.

If you have specific issues, you can always go to the Grand Comics Database (http://www.comics.org/) and get specific details of your particular book.

There were a lot of funky page counts during WWII. Don't necessarily assume you have a book with missing pages until you know the page count for that specific issue.

You can look up books by story title on comics.org

Or you can just post a scan of the first page in the Gold section and let someone else do the work for you lol

John, PM your email address to me and I'll send you a copy of the Keltner Index. It has all the page count per story for most GA books. The page count vary all over the place. Sometimes a 52 pg book includes the cover... 12 wraps x 4 pgs = 48 pgs plus 4 pgs for all 4 sides of the cover. Others have 52 story pages.

Stronguy is right - Keltner is a great resource. It is available on TwoMorrows website as a .pdf.
