Someone has this locally where I am and wants 2k asking.......anyone care to shed some light if that's about average ? Seems a little high for a 1.5 , just wondering if anyone has previous sales info.

Ya. Usually don't, but this one has been my grail, so I was just curious.

There's only one recorded sale in 1.5 SS, and that was three years ago so not much to work on in grade.

Certainly Stan's signiture bumps the price, but I agree it seems high.

I'm no expert so I'll leave that to some other folks on this forum.

There was a 1.8 SS Lee copy sold in February for right at $2k. The last blue 1.5 was $1301.

With that much tape I would hold out for a nicer copy.

At most, with the tape, I'd probably pay 1700. The Stan sig helps.

I wouldn't go over $1500. The amount of tape alone on the cover takes too much away from the eye appeal IMO.

Several 1.0 blue labels sold in the $1,500-1,800 range this past year if I recall correctly.

I'd hold out for a better copy for the price. I hate tape, and this one just has too much for my tastes. I'm also not a fan of signatures on mega keys. I'm probably in the minority there.

 

If there's one thing I've learned from collecting ASM, it's that there's always something available for sale and if you have the patience to wait, something will come up that feels just right.

Yup that's it, she took it down because she said she was scared , she also has a WD#1 CGC 9.2, she wants 1200 for that

There are TONS of Stan Lee sig copies...

 

value will erode downward...
