Wow!!! As a big MP fan, that is a great page! I like the balloons, which apparently Hickman had digitally erased. That's the sort of goofy touch I enjoy in MP.

MP is one quirky book - scripts and art.

 

I do agree that the balloons should have stayed. They make the piece!

 

in the FWIW column, there's an interesting visual gag going on among the artists of Morning Glories (Joe Eisma), MP (Nick Piterra), and SoL (CPW3) and a few others. Joe and Nick have had their friends appear as "cannon fodder" in each others books. If you are a Trekie, think "red shirts" to get a feel for what happens.

 

Sorry to hear about your frustration, Sean. I've met Nick a few times and have really enjoyed it. He's a Houston guy, (like me but lots younger), and shops at a different branch of my LCS, Bedrock City Comic Company.

Not looking to give Nick a hard time. I am looking to read the book though, hopefully soon. Hickman is one of my favorite comic writers.
