Originally, yes. Sam and the store owner changed their mind as the signing got closer.

When the shop owner, a few days before the signing took place, called Balent and gave his blessing, things changed. However, the shop owner had specific instructions. Basically, if you were willing to make the trip, you could get stuff done as long as you respected the store's rules.

No. It was liking asking a girl to prom. Her saying yes. Her deciding that she'd rather stay home than go with you, then, the day before prom, she says she's game. She's hot enough that this isn't a problem.

 

The other thing to remember is this: there were boardies there working very hard to try and make a very open (or multiple open) singing(s) happen in the future. Keep your eyes peeled. This wasn't about shutting people out. This was about a manageable presence at a STORE (not convention) signing where, like your LCS, the store has rules.

There's no guarantees that anything will happen. That being said, sincere efforts were made and Sam genuinely seems to be willing to consider them. Also remember this: sam's planning to go to SDCC...
