Questions about my older Marvel Star Wars comics

I was looking through my Marvel Star Wars comics (yes, I risk damage to my books by going through my comics and looking at them from time to time). Anyway, I noticed a few things and was hoping someone could help me out.

 

On issues 16-22, some have a CC in the upper right hand corner, while others have "Star Wars" written in a white box. Anyone know why there's a difference?

 

On issues 25-32 of my collection, there's a stripe over the bar codes. These stripes don't look like they were drawn on, they look printed at the printing press. Anyone know what these stripes over the bar code mean?
