Lights. Cameras. METROPOLIS!

Have you longed to visit Metropolis' private showroom in Manhattan, but

never had the opportunity to go? Did you miss out on all the fun of San

Diego Comic Con? Fret not, True Believer, you can see all this and more on

the small screen!

On Sunday, August 15th at 8 PM, the Discovery Channel will premiere MARVEL

SUPER HEROES‚? GUIDE TO NEW YORK CITY. Featuring interviews with Stan Lee,

Roy Thomas and many other prominent creators, the program gives an inside

look at Marvel characters and their home in the comic book capital of the

world, New York City! For part of the show, Metropolis' Vincent Zurzolo

takes a trip down memory lane with the documentary crew, giving context and

history to the greatest superheroes of the Marvel Universe.

In other news, Vincent made a splash this week on VH1'S BEST WEEK EVER when

Sharod Smalls swung by the Metropolis booth at San Diego. If anyone sees

Sharod, please ask him to bring back that Marvel Comics #1!

Keep an eye on www.SPIDERMAN.SONYPICTURES.COM. Sony Pictures also stopped by

to visit Metropolis at Comic Con, and filmed an extensive interview with

Vincent about Spider-Man and his nemesis, Doctor Octopus. In the upcoming

webisode, Vincent gives the viewer a close look at some of the historic

comics that made the hero and villain so famous, such as Amazing Fantasy

#15, Amazing Spider-Man #1 and Amazing Spider-Man #3.

Last but not least, be sure to tune in to COMIC ZONE RADIO on

www.METROPOLISCOMICS.COM to listen to new shows every Monday and Internet

archives of all your favorite comic book creators and industry leaders. Join

host Vincent Zurzolo as he talks to guests such as Stan Lee, Neal Adams, Jim

Steranko, Will Eisner and many more!

Hey guys-

The Discovery Channel focusses on the Marvel characters like Spidey, Hulk and FF. The VH1 segment has me showing the host a Marvel #1 and The Sony segment focusses on Spidey and Doc Ock! I made a committment years ago to do my best to get comic collecting into the eyes of the mainstream. Our publicity, articles, Metropolis Index, press releases, Tv appearances and comic investing seminars are all geared toward this goal. I hope you enjoy the shows!

Sincerely,

Vincent

_Anybody listen to the Comic Zone yesterday?

I'm going to put on my clown suit and listen to it over lunch in an hour.

I agree, Fan4Fan...the pained smile on Vince's face indicates that he's quickly calculating the drop in grade on that book, the subsequent lost value, and the difference between that $ and the PR gleaned from being on-camera... evidently, it was a reasonable trade-off...or is that interviewer now residing in the end zone at Giants Stadium (Meadowlands) with J. Hoffa ?

Why, the stress and strain of public inspection could have been easily avoided, had the book ONLY BEEN ENCAPSULATED (shameless CGC shilling).

Man, that is some collection of wall books.... cloud9.gif
