Here are the other two amazing sketches I had commissioned this weekend. One is from Val Hochberg (Gaurdians of the Galaxy) and the other is from Jen Broomall.

[will post a better pic when I get it of this one but this will be Val's first comic sketch ever graded by CGC. She is a very skilled artists and extremely nice!]

This is Jen Broomall's sketch I had her do. [she had to bolt early for a flight and still need to pay her! That's how cool she is! She left the sketch with another artist to give to me when I came looking for it today]

Well here is my two other sketches from Phoenix Comic Con I picked up the first one is from April Grady Reyna. Its an image of Jem from Jem and the Holograms. This commission was truly outrageous. When it was done I asked April if she wanted to meet Jem's creator Christy Marx when I get the comic signed by her. She instantly said yes. When I handed it to Christy Marx she had never seen a blank sketch variant before so she thought this was the real deal and Jem was back and in comics. She was flipping through it to find Jem in the book. After April and I explained to her what a blank sketch variant was all Christy could do was laugh before she hugged us both.

I did get one other one, but my camera was not with me of a Wonder Woman #19 commission from Colleen Doran of Wonder Woman in anime style. I'll post a picture once I get it.

Here's two sketches that were commissioned and finished at Phoenix Con. Both artists nailed it and I couldn't be happier with them.

I also commissioned Nei, but that won't be picked up until July.

Ethan Van Sciver - looks like Ethan had a busy weekend

Scott Blair - Scott was also working on several pieces over the weekend

Phoenix Comic Con 2013 Sketch Covers

That Rocket Raccoon is amazing! Also, where did you get a Uber Sketch Cover? I have never seen that before.

They had them for sale at the Avatar booth where White and Gillen were doing signings. $40 bucks for the cover w/sketch. They weren't selling them blank though...I tried to get a few.

Wait.. so all those fans I saw standing in line at the most disorganized booth were waiting for that? I kept walking and seeing the line only growing and wondering if I should jump in and spend the $$ for a sig + sketch... I guess the more famous you get the less time you can spend on a sketch. I hope you didn't pay a ton for that man !

I didn't pay anything. I was going to have him sign it regardless, but I asked if he could doodle something quick....that's what I got. He doesn't do sketches as far as I know.
