PGM Spidey #2

Sorry, posted this in the wrong spot originally.

Book is complete, cream/OW pages. Has Marvel chipping (MC), at top or perhaps fraying due to slight overhang, MC @ right side and bottom, a rather unfortunate large chip at the bottom FC under the Tinkerer story box, reading crease w/slight spine roll, otherwise flat, dog ear fold BLC.

More concerning perhaps related to the spine roll is some of the interior pages, the first half of the book or so, stick out as you can see from pic of the back of the book. Additionally, there are green markings/return ink? on the top of the book, (3rd pic, sorry for the blur) that should probably line up evenly, but do not. This doesn't display the consistancy of fanned pages of a spine roll I am familiar with. Staples are pretty clean, so I'm wondering if book was ever disassembled. Doesn't look like any restoration work was done, seller claimed no resto and called it a 5.0. Would appreciate any thoughts on this. Sorry for the lenghty post, but from experience, details are important. Thank you in advance for any thoughts & feedback! My opinion is that as is, it's not a 5.0, maybe a half to full point lower.

Pictures are small, so I can’t judge, but looking at how it stays somewhat open I think that the original spine roll may simply have been fixed by some manual process (not professional "pressing"), and thus the distributor ink no longer aligns.

Generally speaking, giving the big quantity of missing pieces, I’d feel comfortable with a 4.0/4.5 (VG/VG+) as well.

My thoughts as well. Pretty clean looking other than the chips. Might be a 4.5 or maybe even 5.0 as per CGC, but the amount of chipping would make it difficult for me to consider it better than 4.0

Thanks everyone for the input, feel a little bit better about it, but still a tad concerned about the mis-allignment of the pages. Sorry the scans aren't big enough.

Now I have to decide if this would benefit from a press or just go straight off to slab land and hopefully it returns as a 4.0 blue :wishluck:, anything above that and I'd be oh so dreamy. :cloud9:
