You know, I noticed that when I read it too. Unless they had $1,000 bills back then, $15,000 is a very thick stack. I only bought a few thousand to a con and it was uncomfortable to handle. $15K is probably 2", unless they are fresh crisp bills (which would make it ~1", still hard to handle)

That said, he may not use a flat wallet, but yes, 150 $100 bills is a thick stack.

 

The point is, $15K is a lot if you make $32K, but not if you make $32M.

 

Same for an art seller losing $20K, it may be like me losing $20.
