That means that someone else beats his mother to death and then he is reconnected with his family through the overcoming of intense hardship and perseverance of character.

 

In most Disney films the protagonist is an orphan or comes from a single parent home.

Looks like Sal Buscema. I understand the Sienkewicz inks conjecture but they aren't close enough.

 

There's also a slight Simonson feel to the inks, especially in MJ's hair.

I distinctly remember buying this issue off the stands as a kid. At the end of the "pimp slap" issue when they kicked him out of the Avengers, i'm pretty sure i cried
