I know I spoke on lengths with Joe Casey about Marijuanaman at ECCC, but I am still kind of at a loss for words with him creating a character based on me.

I think it's worth a read. It does have a SEX feel to it but the story line is much better IMO.

Is it pretty much Speedball with an edge? Not that there is anything wrong with that. It's the sense I got from reading some previews and interviews.

Got around to reading it this afternoon. . It wasn't bad, but I can't say it sparked my interest either. I'll probably pick up #2, but it will need to move the story along in an interesting way for me to keep picking it up.

I read it this morning and thought it was pretty cool.

 

Thought it was a mix of (1) Invincible, (2) Jupiter's Legacy, (3) The Matrix, and (4) Star Gate

 

Vince : because of the super heroes

JL : because of the super heroes and drugs

Matrix : trippy dream world, red pill type dialog (the fog)

Star gate : the big star gate in the middle of the lab (which NWM also had one on the space station).

 

Overall, not a bad first issue IMHO. I'll be pickin up issue #2.
