Yes. All the date stamps on the Green Rivers I've seen are Tuesdays, at two week intervals.

Since all the books came from the same drugstore, and were ALL stamped, ( not just the GR books.but every book that the store sold). Is the only way then to verify a real GR book is to have the books bill of sale history? , or have a person attest to the books purchase/ origin? And compare it to the pdf list, see if it matches up with what was known to be an original GR book?

I am sure there are not that many HG comics from that store still floating around.. but you would think there would be a few. And would they not have the same tuesday RED date stamp placement also?

Does that make sense?

The Green River Pedigree consists of the books specifically owned by William Stevens II. Are there other books out there somewhere that were stamped and sold at his father's store? Undoubtedly. But apparently very few if any have survived, and I seriously doubt that many survived in the kind of condition that marks the GR pedigree, including the white pages that the overwhelming majority of the books exhibit.

What makes a pedigree special is the fact that the books have come through, as a group, in generally excellent condition. A book sold from the store in Spokane, date stamped as it may be, doesn't automatically belong to the pedigree. I definitely have kept my eye out for rogue books, but I haven't come across any yet.

But reread my article. It might clear up a few things for you about what defines a pedigree. And check out Matt Nelson's article again.

The same question could be asked about any pedigree that has unique markings, including the Church books. Other books purchased at the same location might appear occasionally, but it's a testament to how rare it is for an individual to preserve a large collection for a long period of time that it doesn't happen more often.

Think he had it listed as a NM-

Yup, but looking at it, I also think its got a shot at a NM. I will add this to the pile for onsite grading when they come to Boston in September.
